Unless this is set to a very high value, it's recommended to use the manual method. If your printer takes more than 30 seconds to print the entire container, it would still appear to be one steady stream of pieces. For example, you could set the pause to between containers, and the specified time resume value to 30 seconds, and the software will buffer the first container, then wait 30 seconds, and buffer the second. However, this does not take into account the time it takes your printer to print. This will leave the printing paused until you press Enter, no matter how long that is.Īutomatically after the specified time - This will buffer the first print run, and then pause for the specified time. The first thing I would check is that your filament isn’t causing the problem. This ranges from problems with the filament itself, to clogs or extrusion pathway issues, down to bad connections or cooling fan issues. Manually by pressing the Enter key - The recommended method of resuming. The most common causes of a 3D printer that pauses or stops during the printing process is down to mechanical issues. Note that this happens regardless of whether I use CS3 or an old copy of CS1 that printed fine before I upgraded to Leopard. I have deleted this printer and re-added it, all to no avail. On the other HP printer I commonly use, the job never pauses, but I get a message in the printer dialog that says: "unable to get printer status (Not Implemented)" On this printer the job is listed as printing, but it never goes anywhere. This happens on one of the printers I typically use. It goes back and forth like this forever. If I restart the job, the printer immediately pauses again. I highly doubt that the printer is the issue because even when printing 4 blank pages the printer will pause halfway through when printing from the new machine. If I go into the queue and unpause the printer, then the job immediately stops (the printer doesn't pause, the job stops). As stated in the original post, both machines are running Windows 10 professional 64 bit. But, as you describe, the printer immediately pauses. When I try to print from Illustrator or Acrobat, the job is sent to the printer and I can see it in the queue. I find I can print just fine from most applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint) except Adobe applications. I print over a network to two different HP laserjets using IP printing. I have the same general issue, but with slightly different behavior.
